Q: I cannot connect with PPTP.

A: Some ISPs are blocking PPTP connections, if you cannot connect with PPTP please use openVPN instead!

Q: I get ‘Cannot load CA certificate file /etc/ssl/ca.crt path (null) (SSL_CTX_load_verify_locations) (OpenSSL)’ error when connecting with openVPN.

A: the openVPN client cannot find the ca.cert from the zip file. Have you unzipped the file and put in the correct folder? On windows it should be C:Program filesOpenVPNconfigsslca.cert and on mac ~/Library/openvpn/ssl/ca.cert The ca.crt file should be plaintext with —Begin Certificate—<…>—End Certificate—

Q: How do I re-enter or change my password saved by Tunnelblick on OS X?

A: Open the Keychain Access application and edit the “OpenVPN-Auth” item. Then in Tunnelblick select a server and connect. You will then be asked to enter your blackVPN username and password again.
