Adding blackVPN L2TP/IPSEC to Android 4.x

To install L2TP/IPSec on your android phone, start with going to VPN Settings.

VPN settings are located in the Settings menu under Settings -> Wireless & Networks -> VPN Settings:

Click on Add VPN

Enter a name for the Profile

Select L2TP/IPSec PSK from the Type list.

The VPN server should be:

Australia: australia.vpn.blackvpn.com
Canada: ca.vpn.blackvpn.com
Estonia: vpn.blackvpn.ee
Lithuania: vpn.blackvpn.lt
Luxembourg: vpn.blackvpn.lu
Netherlands: vpn.blackvpn.nl
Panama: vpn.blackvpn.com.pa
Romania: vpn.blackvpn.ro
Russia: vpn.blackvpn.ru
Switzerland: vpn.blackvpn.ch
Ukraine: vpn.blackvpn.com.ua
Singapore: vpn.blackvpn.sg
UK: vpn.blackvpn.co.uk
USA East: eastcoast.vpn.blackvpn.com
USA West: westcoast.vpn.blackvpn.com

and the IPSec pre-shared key is: blackvpn.

Tap on Save.

Tap on the VPN profile to connect.

Now enter your blackVPN username and password

VPN Should now be connecting.

You should now be connected and enjoying VPN on your android device.

If you pull down your notification bar you should see the “VPN Activated” app listed showing that you are connected.

If you tap on this button you will see statistics about the connection including an option to disconnect.

While you don’t need to, we recommend that you have both an L2TP/IPsec configuration and a PPTP configuration set up. In some locations one protocol works and not another, so it can be good to have both of them.



Adding PPTP connection to Android 4.x

To install PPTP on your android phone, start with going to VPN Settings.

VPN settings are located in the Settings menu under Settings -> Wireless Controls -> VPN Settings:

Click on Add VPN

Enter a name for the Profile

Select PPTP from the Type list.

The VPN server should be:

Australia: australia.vpn.blackvpn.com
Canada: ca.vpn.blackvpn.com
Estonia: vpn.blackvpn.ee
Lithuania: vpn.blackvpn.lt
Luxembourg: vpn.blackvpn.lu
Netherlands: vpn.blackvpn.nl

Romania: vpn.blackvpn.ro
Russia: vpn.blackvpn.ru
Switzerland: vpn.blackvpn.ch
